Sarah Flounders, a well-known figure in the anti-war movement and a central leader of Workers World and the Center for International Action in Society, held a rally in front of the New York Public Library yesterday – at 4 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2026 – in opposition to the military attack on Iran. She vigorously defended the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and Iran’s unparalleled readiness to confront this imperialist/Zionist invasion. She cited the massacre of 175 elementary school students in Minab as a clear example of imperialism’s conscious plan to silence the voices of freedom-loving nations, and in this regard, she also condemned the aggressive actions of the United States against Venezuela and Cuba. Flounders’ speech is worth listening to. Some Iranian anti-imperialist left activists were also present at the rally.
